Daniel Temple is a Spirit-filled, Word-grounded community of believers in the heart of Brooklyn. We exist to worship God in spirit and in truth, to disciple His people, and to advance His kingdom in our city and beyond.
We believe in the power of the Holy Spirit, the authority of Scripture, and the transforming grace of Jesus Christ. Every service is an encounter. Every believer is equipped. Every life can be changed.

Scripture is the inspired, inerrant Word of God and our final authority for faith, life, and ministry. We teach it without compromise and live it without apology.
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. The gifts of the Spirit are active and necessary for the Church today.
Salvation comes by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. His death, burial, and resurrection cannot be earned. It can only be received.
The local church is God's primary vehicle for transformation. We are committed to authentic community, accountability, and doing life together in covenant.
Prayer is not optional. It is the backbone of everything we do. We pursue God's presence in every service, every meeting, and every moment.
We are not here for Sunday alone. Our mission extends into the streets, schools, and systems of our community. The Kingdom must be demonstrated, not just declared.
Standing on Shoulders
Daniel Temple was not built in a day. It was built by men and women who believed God, sacrificed everything, and refused to quit. We honor those who carried the mantle before us.
On November 14, 1971, Bishop William Daniels Sr. started what would become Daniel Temple in the living room of his Brooklyn home with 17 faithful members. Over five decades, he led the church through three buildings, countless souls saved, and a legacy of unwavering faith. He transitioned to his eternal reward on April 20, 2012, leaving behind a congregation built to last.
In Loving Memory
A devoted son of the church and disciple of Bishop Daniels Sr., Pastor Kelvin Daniels was installed as Senior Pastor in December 2012 and shepherded Daniel Temple through a decade of growth, faithfulness, and transition. Under his leadership, the church reached the milestone of paying off its final mortgage in November 2022. He retired that same year, handing a debt-free church to the next generation.

Overseer William Daniels III is the Senior Pastor of Daniel Temple, a visionary leader, preacher, and teacher called to equip the saints for the work of ministry. Known for his exegetical depth, prophetic clarity, and pastoral heart, Overseer Daniels has devoted his life to building a church that takes the Word seriously and the community personally.
Alongside him stands Lady Maya Daniels, a woman of grace, intercession, and purpose whose support and leadership are foundational to the ministry they share. Together they lead a household of faith committed to kingdom-first living.
